Doubles- Bryan twins
? American twins Bob and Mike Bryan became the first doubles pair to win 100 titles together by winning the US Open men's doubles final on 7th September. The world number one duo, defeated Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez of Spain once in each set to seal in New York. It is their fifth US Open title and 16th Grand Slam title together.
Women singles- Serena won
? Serena Williams won her 18th Grand Slam title defeating Woznaiacki on 8th September, it is her sixth US open crown.
Men’s singles- Marin Cilic
? Croatia's Marin Cilic won his first Grand Slam title with a comprehensive straight-sets win over Kei Nishikori of Japan at the US Open.
Mixed- doubles winners-
? Sania Mirza and Bruno Soares
Harika wins bronze
D. Harika took the bronze at the last leg of the 2013-14 FIDE women’s Grand Prix chess at Sharjah on 6th September. The fourth-seeded Indian defeated Batchimeg Tuvshintugs of Mongolia, the 11th seed who had been having a dream run, to take her tally to 6.5 points from 11 rounds.
